Name: Business Project, System of Equations Date: 3/29/2019 Subject: Algebra 1 Facilitator: Ms. Kohlbrenner
Description of Work: For this project we got into groups. I was with four other classmates. We had to create a Business letter and presentation. We had to have the mindset as if we were CEO's of a company. We had to use what we learned about systems of equations, explain two products that our company works, explaining the cost, and why it's beneficial to buy a certain amount. When we got into groups we first started brainstorming for ideas. We came up with a name which was "Weck Way". Weck contains all the letters of our first names. Then we had to think of what our company would be selling. We decided to sell perogies and waffle bites. The perfect combination! We had to create a business letter that would be for customers or interested investors. We also created a slide show that would be for our presentation which had to be 6-8 minutes long. Our presentation was very professional. We had a panel of judges consisting of Ms. Federoff, Mr. Graveson, Mr. Jared, etc. We started the presentation introducing ourselves and our company. Then we introduced our products and prices. We showed pictures of our plates and food truck. We were graded based on attire, dressed professionally and appropriate clothing. Professionalism, use of professional language, posture, loud voice. Lastly, presentation content. Including business model, photos and description of products, etc. We overall did well and got a good grade by our teacher and panel of judges.
