For our senior seminar class we had to "pitch" our senior project idea to the class. We had to think of it as if we got into an elevator with a very important person and only had 1-2 minutes to describe our project plan to them. The seven parts we had to include in our pitch were, 1- The Problem 2- The Solution 3- Your Audience 4- Potential Problems 5- Partners 6- Financial Summary 7- Milestone and Goals The 21st century skill this assignment addresses is communication skills. We had to be able to pitch our ideas in an efficient way including details that stood out the best and in a timely matter. I improved upon this skill with this assignment because I had to communicate my thoughts clearly to the audience and really develop my ideas in clear and concise way. What was most difficult about completing this task was keeping the time limit. I did go a little over the time so if I could go back and improve this work I would try and simplify each section. This relates to what I have learned in the past because I have had to do some presentations without any notes so I had some experience and it wasn't too hard. I can apply this to future learning because I know we have a lot to present in the future as seniors and presenting without notes is the goal.
