ELA~Interview Narrative
For our interview narrative we had to have a sit-down interview with an older generation family member. Our objective was to learn about their life experiences and things they have learned throughout the years. We had to ask questions and one thing we had been practicing was being able to have follow up questions. I decided to choose my maternal grandma. My grandma lives in Argentina so I wasn't able to have a face-to-face interview with her. I decided to use whats app which was really easy because I could just send her voice memos. She would send voice memos back and I could just go back when I was done to be able to write down her answers. Then we had to write a narrative talking about our experience with the interview. The narrative had to include my interviewees responses and also my feelings during the interview. Like I said whats app made it much more simpler because I could replay the voice memos and really understand her stories. 21st Century Skills Communication Skills- This was one of the biggest skills I used for this project. I had to be able to communicate effectively and come up with good questions. Information Skills- I had to use technology to be able to communicate with my interviewee and gather information for my project. Self-Directional Skills- I used this because I had to lead my self and come up with good questions for the interviewee to finish with the end result I wanted. |
